Tattooing proper has been practiced in most parts of the world, though it is rare among populations with the darkest skin colour and absent from most of China (at least in recent centuries). Tattooed designs are thought by various peoples to provide magical protection against sickness or misfortune, or they serve to identify the wearer’s rank, status, or membership in a group. Decoration is perhaps the most common motive for tattooing.If certain marks on the skin of the Iceman, a mummified human body dating from about 3300 BCE, are tattoos, then they represent the earliest known evidence of the practice. Tattoos have also been found on Egyptian and Nubian mummies dating from approximately 2000 BCE.

We take  tattooing very seriously, hygiene and safety is our top priority. ONLY single-use sterile needles are used. Needles are discarded immediately after use and disposed of through incineration by a recognized medical waste company, as per government regulations. All stainless-steel instruments that are used go through a strict cleaning routine. They are first ultrasonically soaked in a chemical sterilizing bath and then finally placed into an autoclave. This destroys all bacteria and viruses (eg HIV, Hepatitis etc). 

The autoclave itself is tested regularly. We use either nitrile or latex gloves, all disposable consumables are disposed of into medical waste bins. All instruments are kept sterile in our ultra violet sterilization cabinet. Everything that touches a client is either brand new and completely sterile or thoroughly sterilized.
